Our core banking engine helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions

SUSTAINABILITY

Our main contribution to sustainability can be found in the reduction of our clients’ environmental footprint. Our core banking engine not only liberates our clients from outdated legacy software, it also helps them reduce their carbon dioxide emissions.

By harnessing the energy efficiency of the cloud, instead of hosting their applications on premise, we enable our clients to reduce these emissions by 88%.

Our cloud provider is committed to running its business in the most environmentally friendly way possible and has pledged to use up to 50% renewable energy sources by the end of 2017.

We also actively pursue the reduction of our own environmental footprint. We only use products and services that have the highest energy efficiency, can be fully recycled and harm neither people nor the environment.

All our offices are easily accessible by public transport and compliant with the highest energy saving standards applicable. Ohpen does not have a car lease arrangement and provides company cars nor parking space to its employees.

Our own energy consumption will be 100% covered by renewable energy by mid-2018.

We strongly believe that compliance is an active attitude and not just a set of regulations. We regularly provide training, briefings and updates to keep every Ohpen employee involved and informed, not just on rules and regulations but also on our code of conduct.
